August: Productive Bliss

Goodness.... another QQ meeting, another day of Sunshine and another day of productive bliss! Starting the days with not one but two FO from EL -

A simple crochet scarf  - using a pattern found on the web - chunky variegated wool and a large hook. This is EL's first crochet projects - started and most importantly finished!!  And how beautiful - WeLL DoNE EL - are you taking orders for Christmas!

And another FO from EL - a wonderful Quilted Autumn Table Runner - great colours - great timing with Autumn just around the corner as well!  EL has a hard decision now (which I think we have all encounted over the years) to keep for herself or to give away! No stopping you now EL, one finished quilting project ANDDDDD a finished crochet project!

A gift found - with the old post office saying - 'saw this and thought of you'! From HT to HW - taken straight from the box and placed around her neck!

Gifts from the USA from HW - to everyone - a half yard to suits us all...... starting from the centre, and moving left - EL, CB, HT, AB, and CD - watch this space to see what we produce!

Tea break and gifts for the hips!

Straight down to work this morning without any hesitation....

EL - continuing with her tapestry - looking so lovely - and so close to finishing.

HW - Scissor Keepers for her Mum's quilt show. Such wonderful colours.

AB - a little bit more work on her bag - along with sewing machine testing.  Surprising colour choice for AB - purple?!!!!!

CD - Cutting out Dahlia petals - I cannot wait to see CD finished rainbow Dahlia ..... (in fact cannot wait to see mine either!)

CD - finishing off customizing her Yarndale Bag ready for September.

HT - continuing her show piece for Shirley Quilters.

Given a jar at the beginning of the year HT was given the task to produce something using everything inside!

Lunch came round soooo fast - I really don't know where the morning went - so much sewing, laughing and chatting.  Have we mentioned before that QQ never go hungry....

We tried to Skype HT's daughter and new Grandchild during our lunch break but modern technology would not play the game - and we settled for an ultra quick phone call to say we had failed!

The afternoon brought new projects......

Ladybird cushion.....

Crochet projects from EL, AB and HT.......

And continued petal cutting for Dahlias from CD and CB.......

So many projects - not even time today for a jog round the garden - although we should have done, after that lunch we ate and with three different puddings on offer....... although for some reason this one never made it onto our plates!

Ahh Such FUN!
